Subject: @dblookup
there is a way if all your @dblookups access the same source. In this case, do one of the following things:
lets assume you try to read LastName, FirstName and Salutation of a person:
a)
Create a computed field (“Data”) in the person documents that contains all three values:
LastName+“|”+FirstName+“|”+Salutation
you can now use one lookup to read the field “Data”.
b) create a column in a persons-view that contains all three values:
LastName+“|”+FirstName+“|”+Salutation
you can now use one lookup to read this column.
To get the single values, you might use @Word(Data;“|”;x)

thanks for ur information Joerg
but can we find a way if the case is like one document having 3 lookups from 3 diff. views. first thing we have to found out whether this situation will exist & if exists what to do as second thing.
thanks

If you are reading from different views, then you will have to use three lookups.
When creating an application, I tend to use “Notes”:“NoCache” a lot, and sometimes this stays in my code, slowing down everything. Try to figure out how often the source-information gets updated. Maybe you can let notes cache the lookup?
In the end, i think it really depends on your application.

thanks a lot Joerg. it cleared my confusion.
