I am having trouble with @DBLookup and @DBColumn in a web application. If I use either one on the web there is no return, but from the client it works fine. With DBLookup I get entry not found in index, with DBColumn it is a blank return. If I categorize the first column, the DBColumn will work but the DBLookup will not. I would greatly appreciate any help.
Subject: @DBLookup on web with no results
Hello!
Is this within the same database? If so, use “” for the “server:database” parameter. So:
@DbLookup(“”:“NoCache”; “”; “viewname”; “key”; 47)
Same goes for a DbColumn.
If it’s a different database, you have to specify the server, as well as the database. If this doesn’t fix it, maybe you can post your code.

Take in mind that for a web application the server is always considered local.
So always use “” for current database and “” : dbname for a lookup in another database (on the same server).

To test it out I creates a simple form with one computed field on it. Here is my code.
tmp:=@DbLookup( “”:“NoCache” ; “”:“” ;“Keywords”;“NAR Types”;“Value2”);
@If(@IsError(tmp); @Text(tmp) ; tmp)
This is the return I get:
Entry not found in index
I open the same form in the client and I get the contents of the keyword document as I expected. I have this same problem on all the web forms in this database. Is there a database property or something that could cause this problem.
