Need help!!! Have an application I’m trying to create an @dblookup of a mail in db $inbox to display in a view the e-mail from the mail db. Is this possible?
Subject: @dblookup $inbox
You should be able to a @DbLookup on a folder ($Inbox).
Notes Help says:
Given a key value, looks in the specified view (or folder) and finds all documents containing the key value in the first sorted column within the view. For each selected document, @DbLookup returns either the contents of a specified column in the view, or the contents of a specified field.
But it’s only going to return a list of a specified column or a list of a particular field contents.
From what you say you want to do (“to display in a view the e-mail from the mail db”), it’s not going to do what you want.
What are you trying to do? Display your inbox in another view?
Maybe you want to do frames and have the frame contents be your mail inbox.
You can create a frame and specify the contents as: Folder, --user’s Mail File–, ($Inbox).

That worked! I had to browse out to the database but that is doing exactly what I wanted to with less pain! Thanks!
