@DbColumn and Domino 7

Hello all,

I’m having a problem that I’ve so far been unable to solve and I’m hoping for your help :slight_smile:

In one of our databases we have a form with a few computed fields, nothing advanced, that has been running without changes and problems for several years, but after we upgraded the server to Domino 7 (it currently runs 7.0.2) one of the fields on it has started to act up.

If the users enter the database and create a new document it gets the next number in line but if they create a second one it gets the same number as the previous one, so to get the correct number for each document they have to either exit the database or open the view that lists the numbers between creating documents which of course are only a very temporary “solutions” to the problem.

The code in question: @Subset(@DbColumn(“”:“NoCache”;“”;“ViewName”;1);1)+1

Any ideas on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Try using “Recache” instead of “NoCache” and also verify that what is Index option set to for that view. Open View in designer, view properties, advance tab and then index. It should be set to “Auto after first use”

Thanks for those suggestions. The view is set as “Auto after first use” and ReCache made no difference.

I’ve noticed that a date-based view used by an agent in another database does not update properly either, could it be some kind of server setting that needs to be changed?

Thanks.
