DB2NSFInit Error creating DB2 database DOMINO sqlcode=-1005

Hi,

I’ve been trying to enable my test Domino 8.5 with DB2 Enterprise server but I keep getting the following error message:

11/12/2009 12:10:47 PM Creating DB2 database ‘DOMINO’ in DB2 Instance ‘DB2’ with username ‘domserv’…

11/12/2009 12:10:47 PM DB2NSFInit Error creating DB2 database DOMINO sqlcode=-1005.: Failed creating DB2 Database.

11/12/2009 12:10:47 PM Unable to initialize DB2 services. DB2-based NSF databases will be unusable.: Failed creating DB2 Database.

and continues with multiple line like the ones below

11/12/2009 12:10:48 PM Test1/Nina Failed when DB2 was getting properties. DB2 NSF failure.: - - *LOCAL.DB2.091112171053(nevent)

I’m using local configuration of the DOMINO and DB2. The version of DB2 is 9.7 (this is the trial I could download for evaluation purposes).

Does anybody have an idea how to troubleshoot this error message?

DB2 9.7 is not supported for DB2NSF. I am pretty sure that 9.1.5 is the most recent version that is supported.

If you are using 9.1 and still get the error you might try adding the ’ DominoDB2User ’ on the OS level into the Administrators group. This worked for me when getting the same error.
