Good Afternoon, I am using LotusScript and the field: EditDateTime gives a date/time.
nField = doc.getItemValue(“EditDateTime”)
db2entryts$ = "'" & Format( nField(0), "yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss") & "'"
the problem is when I try to insert this value into a DB2 table it tells me the format is wrong, I thought a DB2 timestamp format was yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss, can someone tell me what I am doing wrong. There was a similar post, but no one answered it.
any help would be appreciated,
Thanks,
stephen
Subject: db2 timestamp format
stephen,
run a query on your db2 tables to return the date/time format. Also, you could try “yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi:ss”. I believe, as I recall, your format mask of “mm” for month and minute(s) are getting “confused”.

When I use the command center and try to insert this value: ‘2005-06-24-15:33:33’ into a timestamp column, it tells me: The syntax of the string representation of a datetime value is incorrect. But I will try your suggestion!
thanks!
