DB owner change after switching Notes ID

Hello all,

I have some users who encountered problem during switch ID. There are two IDs associated with two mail databases with two owners.

Although I don’t know why sometimes when users tried to switch from ID 1 to ID 2, the db owner will be changed to owner2. ALso when switching from ID 2 to ID 1, db owner changed to owner1.

I tried to perform the samething on another machine but not always have problem. But for the problem PC. It will suffer again for a while.

Anyone knows the reasons why and how to solve ?

For R5,R6,R7 I seldom have such problem of db owner change after switching notes ID. In R801, it has so many tricky problem.

Subject: Switching ID’s in R8

When we started rolling the new R8 client out, we ran into this issue. Users that had two ID’s for two different mailboxes were unable to toggle between, while they were able to do so in the previous R6 version. We found that if the location document had any special characters in it, apostrophies, plus signs, minus signs, etc. the switch wouldn’t work. Once we edited the location document and removed those characters, everything works as it did before. Hope that helps…
