Db.filepath rename

Is there a way to find all the mail db on mail server and rename db.filepath to anything.

Please advise

From the Designer help:

FilePath property

Read-only. The path and file name of a database. The file name includes the NSF extension.

Syntax

To get: path$ = notesDatabase.FilePath

The filepath property can only be read, not written to. To get a list of all the mail files on the server, you could use the NotesDbDirectory class. Again, right from the Help:

Sub Initialize

Dim dbdir As New NotesDbDirectory(“”)

Dim db As NotesDatabase

Set db = dbdir.GetFirstDatabase(DATABASE)

While Not(db Is Nothing)

Msgbox db.Title, , db.FileName

Set db = dbdir.GetNextDatabase

Wend

End Sub

In the loop, you could examine the db.FileName, and look for databases located within the "mail" folder, e.g.:

If Instr(1, db.FileName, "mail") > 0 Then

…

End If

I need to write to filepath and rename to ex. amp.nsf to amp.txt. how can i do that?
