Daylight Savings Observed Flag

I have some Reminder entries in calendars that when created have in the StartTmeZone field

Z=5$DO=0$ZX=28$ZN=Eastern

The DO=0 means that Daylight Savings is not observed by this entry so currently in is off (+1) hour in the Calendar view. If I go into the reminder the time is correct.

How is this entry going to look after Daylight Savings starts? I just want to be able to let my users know what to expect with some entries.

Thanks,

Sean

Subject: Daylight Savings Observed Flag

Hi Sean,

From : Agents for updating Calendaring and Scheduling entries

StartTimeZone and EndTimeZone fields are structured to contain the following attributes:

Parameter

Definition

Z

Time zone offset from GMT.

DO

Daylight Saving Time (DST) observed flag. 1 means DST is in effect; 0 means it is not. If equal to 1, a value should be supplied for DL.

DL

DST law identifying the .

ZX

Host-specific time zone index. Note: This parameter is not generated in Domino Web Access-created entries.

ZN

Time zone name.

If an entry originally had a DO parameter of 0, then the agent, by design, will not act on the entry. A DO value of 0 means that the entry was created by a system which was not set to observe DST. There is no way for the agent to know whether a system set in this manner was done intentionally or not, and the code assumes it was done intentionally. Such entries, because they have a DO parameter of 0, should not be affected by the changes to the DST rules, and so there is no need to modify them. For the future it is advisable that the user’s operating system be updated to observe DST.

JYR,

Thanks for the response, but just so you know I have 4 reminders in one users calendar, that were created from the same computer over the last month, and 2 of the four have the DO=0, and the other have the DO=1. The computer this person is using was patched and everything is configured correctly. One of the problem entries was just created 2 days ago, and a good entry was created 2 weeks ago.

My other part of the question, is what will the users see after Sunday?
