IBM says that Daylight Saving Time (DST) changes for 2007 will affect Lotus software products but my doubt is daylight saving time is not new one and this is happening every year right, then why IBM coming up with patches now.

A quick google tells you that DST is changing at a different time as from the beginning of this year. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Hi,
Those values are stored in registry key. It’s not like hard-coding but something similar. You computer knows when to change time every year.
So it must be updated to reflect the new date (March and november)

Some countries change the date, when they switch the DST. IBM already published informtion about this by last year.

Like Gregg said, it’s not IBM related only.
Daylight Saving Time rules changes could affect any computers, applications and electronic devices that have built-in DST rules for date and time processing. This is not a vendor specific issue.
