Date & time stamp on outgoing emails

Can someone tell me when I send out an email from Notes client, the date and time stamp on the email header comes from the clock of client computer or the server.

Thanks,

Ray

It comes from the Server, I think…

I just changed the time on my PC, sent a message and it came through stamped with the correct time.

Having said that, I didn’t restart my Notes client/machine.

Easiest way to confirm is to change the time on your machine, restart, send a mail, change it back, restart and see if the time is correct. I suspect it will be, as I suspect that it takes the time from the server.

I’m prepared to stand corrected, though

Matt,

I confirm after a number of testing that the date and time stamped on the email is obtained from the client PC, not the server.
