If I look at my Inbox in Notes 8.5, the date/time columns display the date as 01/19/2009 (for January 19th, 2009) and the time in the 12hr format, even though I have configured the Ubuntu clock preferences to match the European format (order of date elements is dd/mm/yyyy and time is in 24hrs format).
How can I make Notes display the date/time values in my local fashion?
Subject: Did you change your Ubuntu log in to use English_UK locale?
The view is getting the formatting information from OS.I am able to get my client view to display in dd/mm/yyyy format after changing the language to en_GB.UTF-8.
Subject: Language change
Hi
Where we need to change the language.
Thanks,
Sanjay
Subject: No, did not… why would it be linked to that?
How does it make sense to link that to the language? It’s a regional matter, no a language. For various reasons, I want my language to be U.S. English and I on the OS level, I can adjust the time/date preferences independent from the language settings. When time/date display is already linked to the OS (which totally makes sense), then link it to the time/date preferences in the OS, not the language.
