Date Field can be edited when document in read mode

Dear all,

I am facing a document security problem as stated in the subject. The date field in the document can be edited even though it is in read mode. I have tested the rest of the text field, stayed in read mode, cannot be edited.

Does anyone facing the same problem? Please help.

Hello,

You may try to add a “Computed for Display” type of field which holds the Date field value, and put hide-when formula based on the document mode.

I guess this should help.

Why is it a security issue? The changes still can’t be saved by a user who isn’t otherwise authorized to edit it, right?
