I’m a new Lotus Administrator,and I was wondering why you cant connect to databases in Inotes Full mode.
The databases are on the server, just like the mailboxes. The mailboxes you can access, but you cant connect to the databases?
I’m thinking about replacing Lotus Notes 8.5.1 clients for webbased notes. This way multiple users can access their own mailbox and databases on 1 computer. Creating location documents is not really useable anymore…
any thougts?

the mailbox is a database,
and we have several other databases within lotus (department databases).
maybe my info was unclear.
Subject: Databases in Inotes full mode
The iNotes client is generated from the the code contained within the mail file and can be thought of as a Notes application being accessed from a browser. It can only work on the mail file that contains it. There is no design for allowing access to other databases from within iNotes. However, if you other databases are web enabled, you can just access them directly from the browser.
iNotes is not a replacement for the Lotus Notes client.

Hmm… to bad you can only access a (department) database directly and not in the way the Client handles the databases.
