Database.Views doesn't return View-Object

Hello,

I’ve a big problem with retrieving emails from a specific folder in Lotus Notes. I’ve to develop some import/export tool for our application and till now it worked fine. Now I’ve one customer who don’t like the .net framework, so I had to convert everything in VB6. And now I get error-messages about the Domino.NotesView Object.

The source-code in both languages are the same:

Dim LotusView As Domino.NotesView

Dim LotusDocument As Domino.NotesDocument

For Each LotusView In LotusDataBase.Views()

If InStr(LotusView.Name, “CIS”) AND LotusView.TopLevelEntryCount > 0 Then

  LotusDocument = LotusView.GetFirstDocument()

  

  Do While Not (LotusDocument Is Nothing)

     RetrieveEMail(LotusDocument)

     

     LotusDocument = LotusView.GetNextDocument(LotusDocument)

  Loop

End If

Next

While executing this, I receive every single email in this folder when using vb.net. The same source in vb6 is not able resolving the view as an Object.

Have you included a reference to the notes API dll in your project?

Sorry don’t know for sure, but I have added the Lotus Domino Object (domobj.tlb) and the Lotus Notes Automation Classes (notes32.tlb) to my project. Or is there another file to include?? I’m not really into Lotus Notes yet…

As long as you can see the notes object classes in the class viewer they should be fine.
