Database searches

I am creating a custom homepage for when users login to the Notes client. On my form, I have a search field with the option of searching either the web, or notes. The web search works fine and the logic to switch between each works fine as well. The only thing I am having difficulty with is getting the Notes search to work in LotusScript. I’ve never attempted to create this before, but I’m looking to build in a search that functions the same way as the “DatabaseSearch” form that comes with Notes already. To make things simple, when the user enters their search criteria in my field, I would like it to open up the Notes DatabaseSearch form and display the results there, which will avoid having to create a custom form to display my results.

If anybody knows of some examples or has an example that works, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Logic for getting the search results ( i.e documentcollection ) would be same for both web or client. Its only the presentation that needs to be changed. Typically for notes client, you can either put the entire collection into a private folder ( using PutAllInFolder method of notesdocumentcollection class ) or loop thru the collection and write the contents in a rich text field ( along with the document link )

hope this helps !!
