Hi all,
Does anyone know if there is a tool that will show you the relationship between all databases on a domino server?
(i.e. Relationship being when in formula(@dblookup, @dbcolumn are used to look at another database), in lotusscript (opendatabase, is used to openanther database other than the current one), etc…

Check the sandbox and OpenNTF. I’m thinking I saw something close to that (but I’m not totally sure).
FWIW, if you’re building dbs with an eye to easy maintenance, you’ll never hard code server/file information in you DbLookups/Columns/LS. You’ll always point to something like a profile doc to get this information. This keeps you from needing to do panic design updates when your company is bought out and you need to rename all of your servers and restrucutre your directories. If you ARE hardcoding, you might want to rethink that practice (voice of hard earned experience here…). Anyway, if you’re using ‘soft coded’ pointers to other dbs, no way you’ll ever find an automated tool to figure that all out.
Some time back, I created an ‘API’ db. If I ever use a view to display or retrieve data in another app, I list the view and important columns. Now if I go to update a view design, I check the API db first to make sure I’m not going to hurt myself by changing something…
