DATABASE is corrupted --- cannot allocate space

Hi

Very often Im getting the error message “DATABASE is corrupted — cannot allocate space” whenever I try to create a document. My DB sizequota is 5 GB and size is 1700 MB. Still when I see the %used in Db properties it shows me 99.7% used. Whether this error is because of DB size or are there any other possible reasons. Please help me in this regard!!!

Regards

Khader

Subject: DATABASE is corrupted — cannot allocate space

So what did you do against database corruption so far? Did you run fixup and compact against this db?

If you did and corruption issues keep coming back, the problem is not unlikely to be caused by the server machine (e.g. faulty component in the disk sub-system or simply a full file system.

The percentage number in database properties is by no means related to the database quota. It only tells you how much of the physical size of that db (1700 MB) is not whitespace (= unused space).
