My database size is 1.1 GB and document count is 49,960. This reduces the speed for indexing and searching the database. I want to have an archive created on the server so that the documents of the previous financial year are automatically moved there. As a result the count and size of my active database decreases.
Please help me out as how to go about the entire process.

Set Archive settings of ur mailfile/archiveIn basics, change it to Server
In setings, set the number of days in Edit-select docs
Save archive settings
Action-Archive-archive now (or if source is also on server create a program doc for Compact -a for DB for automatic archiving)
This will archive all docs from DB to server depending on the criteria u have gives in select docs (even calendar entries will be archived by this)
You need to have create database rights on server for this

Yes, if its degign based on mail template (like archive) & then u should use archive now time to time
