We found that some (not all but partly under the same folder) of the database ACL being updated by the server in one day. It updated the -Default- user which have manager access to us. At the ACL log, it only recorded the ACL being updated by our server on that day, normally we should see somelike, xxxx/server update -Default-. But our one is not. In additional, we also cannot found any hit at server log as well.

Have you checked if this server has replicated with this DB. Then if this is the case the default access could have been changed on a laptop replica and replicated across your network.

This should not be happen … normal user don’t have access right to change the ACL & we also have ECL enabled. It look like being updated via Notes API or other.
One very strange thing that I forgot to mention before. The ACL log shows the entry is difference with the normal one
Normal should be : xxxxxx/server updated -Default-
but our one is : xxxxxx/server updated (blank)
