Hi, we are planning to implement DAOS in our company in the next couple of days. The stage is all set, but for one small doubt.
Is there any way that the DAOS actions on existing emails? Or is it just limited to the mails that are originated from the moment the DAOS is enabled on the server?
The issue is, we are having huge mailboxes where it was found that there are large emails routed to multiple recipients. We want to use the DAOS functionality on these mails also, as it helps us to a great extent in recovering the server storage.
Thanks in advance for the suggestions and I’ll be more than thankful if you can provide your suggestions ASAP as we want to implement this by Friday of this week.

Compact - DAOS
In addition to enabling the Domino Attachment and Object Service (DAOS) property to consolidate new attachments in a database, you can use the following Compact option to move attachments in existing documents into the DAOS repository while performing a copy-style compact.
Compact -c -daos on|off
When set as on, moves attachments from existing documents to the DAOS repository and then compacts the database.
