I am using DAMO interim fix 6 with Outlook 2007 SP2 on Win 7. This is a newly built system with no changes to any of the Outlook or DAMO default settings.
I started noticing that when I reply to emails from coworkers I notice that strange characters are showing up in my replies. I don’t see it when I type or in my sent items. It only shows up in their client or when they reply back to me. And it doesn’t happen in all emails, either.
For instance, I typed in:

But what showed up in the email’s that I got back from coworkers was this:

Any idea what’s happening? Sure, I can convert to RTF and skirt the issue, but I am not sure how compatible it is with Notes and other email programs.
Subject: DAMO Interim Fix 6: Empty message body after change of DOMINO server
Hi, I just installed Interim Fix 6, because after change of our Domino Server now in about 50% of the messages I receive them in DAMO with empty mail body. I have no idea, what might be the reason. At least Interim Fix 6 does not help. Same problem as before in Interim Fix 4.
I tried to send the same message again and again from DAMO to myself (“Resend message” feature), and it appears that the size of the message and the empty body varies irreproducibly. Sometimes everything works fine, and the next repeated message, the size is smaller and the body empty.
I have no idea. Only idea that it is connected to the server change and maybe to a new Domino Version, because before everything worked fine with the old server and Interim Fix 4.
In addition to my previous post, from my point of view as Notes and DAMO user, the most significant change on the server seems to be to change from Linus, Domino Release 8.5.2
