Are you running DAMO and the Notes client on the same box?

These two pieces of software do not interact with each other. DAMO doesn’t check that the Notes client is installed, and doesn’t look in the Notes data directory for your personal names.nsf. We haven’t created features to share contacts between them – there might be a mix of clients in a particular organization, but our intent is that each user would have either Notes client or Outlook, not both.

When you’re using Outlook as your front end, Outlook manages your personal contacts. You add to this list by creating contacts thru the Outlook UI, not by adding names in the Notes client.

You can synchronize contacts from your personal address book in Notes to DAMO by using the “Synchronize Address Book” agent in your mail file.

The link you posted does not work. Where can I find information on how to set up this agent?

Subject: RE: DAMO & personal addressbook

I’m not sure what templates this works with, it may only be the iNotes/WebAccess versions of the templates, but if the user opens their mail file, one of their “Actions” from the main set of menus (File Edit View Create Actions Help) is “Syncronize Address Book”…

That will sync the personal address book’s contents into the mail file - users can then see these entries when they are using iNotes/WebAccess.

Hope this helps (even tho it has almost been a year)
