DAMO Fix for Outlook 2007? When?

Any Lotus/IBM folks know when a fix will be available for DAMO using Outlook 2007? Many problems have been reported in this forum (search DAMO). Latest 702 version for Passport Advantage has not been updated subsequent to Outlook 2007 release. We need it asap. Thanks!

Subject: Outlook 2007 Support currently planned in the 1Q08 timeframe

However, there is a hack to allow Outlook 2007 to work with DAMO, but it has not been tested and it is believed to have some issues.

The hack is:

  1. Install Office 2007 from MSDN download

  2. Add %ProgramFiles%\DominoForOutlook to the system path (also added to user path for paranoia) (*)

  3. Install DAMO (“\growl\builds\DAMO\7.0.2 Special Build\060507 - Signed\setup.exe”), single user

  4. Configure the new account.

  5. Open regedit - go to computer\hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\office\outlook\addins\inotesoutlookaddin.addin.

  6. Change LoadBehavior to 3 (was 2)

CAVEATS

(*) Make sure that there are no other instances of notes in the path before %ProgramFiles%\DominoForOutlook. I had a version in C:\notes that preceded this in the system path which caused it to crash

Also - you may need to reboot before you will see initial replication commence. Starting Outlook/DAMO after making these changes did not work for me, but it did work for some. After a reboot, then initial replication kicked in for me.

This worked just fine…The only portion not working is calendar meeting acceptance from others. If you receive a meeting invite and try to accept, you will get a pop up message stating that “since you are the meeting originator, you do not need to accept”. Even though you are not the meeting sender, outlook 2007 for some reason thinks you are. I tested this on Outlook 2003 and it did not duplicate. Anyone else seen this or know of a fix?

This solution has worked for me for emails, but my contacts and calendar entries are not being sync’d with Outlook 2007. Has anyone gotten their contacts and existing calendar entries to work? If so, how? Thanks,

I second this request - any update from someone at IBM on when some version of DAMO will support Outlook 2007?
