I’ve tried to configure a MAPI profile on systems with Office 2007 SP2 and right after I finish the profile creation, I get a Lotus error message (the standard “we are collecting information to send to your help desk”). When I start Outlook after this I am told “the database is either in use by your or another application…”. If I uninstall Office 2007 and then reinstall (the only way to get rid of a service pack) everything works fine.
Also, if a system has Office 2007 gold or SP1 and has a DAMO profile configured, and then Office 2007 SP2 is applied Outlook/DAMO will no longer download email from the Domino server even though there is mail out there (verified via Notes client).

MAPI Profile creation will fail with SP2. (nminstallR crash)There is a ‘mailrules’ fix available from support to address this.
The fix will be included in DAMO 8.02 Interim Fix 5.

DAMO 8.02 Interim Fix 4 fixes this problem. I had exactly the same problem and the fix 4 sorted it out for me.

I’ve been struggling with this for a few days now- how do I go about requesting the fix until the new interim release is available? Thanks.

Tried removing SP2 after I had the problem… with spotty results. Had IBM support send me a hot fix to correct the SP2 problem.
