Damo 8: can not be read attachments

Microsoft outlook 2007 with DAMO 802

when you receive an email with attachment and send the same file to another destination, the file can not be read. But when sending a new file is received well

the error is :

This may be a problem we know about and are working with currently.

Can you provide us the name of the attachment that is causing the problems? We have a known problem:

DAMO: Attachment with accented file name and HTML format sent from DAMO has contents stripped

I’m wondering if this is the same problem you’re seeing. In either case, we probably should have you open a PMR so we can work with you to get the problem resolved. If it’s the same problem we know about, having you open a PMR will make sure you get in line to also get the hot fix once it’s available. If it’s not the same problem, we’ll need to work with you to collect some more information.

Subject: I can confirm this

I can confirme problem.

We have a user that sent emails from DAMO 8.0.2 and Outlook 2003. The user has setup a signature with an image.

The problem only occurs when the user sent an .xls file in an HTML email.

Is the user sent that same .xls file in a plain text only email, there is no problem.

Will try to sent the attachment in an HTML email and without the signature. But the key in this problem is the Outlook HTML email.

Selection Format → Plain Text solves the problem.
