After I reloaded my laptop with Vista Ultimate (was running XP Pro before) DAMO continuously crashes. The error window I am getting simple says “An error has occurred in a Lotus Domino application.”. It will not even finish the initial setup after the mapi profile is created.
This was functioning perfectly before I loaded Vista, I’m running Notes 8.01 and DAMO 8.0.2.
Any help would be appreciated.

Subject: Encounter same problem installing DAMO 8.0.2
During the MAPI profile setup the system dumps through NSD.exe. This happens whether you do the MAPI setup during installation or as a different user running the program’s shortcut.
System is Windows XP Pro SP2
OS Firewall is off
Microsoft Office 2007
Outlook 2007
Any ideas?

A crash during MAPI profile creation is usually caused by a problem with the Notes ID file.

After installing DAMO 8.0.2 I get the same error. Windows XP SP3, Outlook 2007. I can’t create a new MAPI profile, DAMO always crashes.

If it’s new MAPI profile creation that’s crashing, this is generally caused by an issue with the Notes ID file.
If you have a Notes client installed, you can use the ID file, and typically the Notes client will display a message box when it accesses the Notes ID file.
This may clear up the crash.
If it’s Outlook that’s crashing after creating the new MAPI profile, then we need to collect configuration information, including Windows Username, Domino Username, DAMO data directory, and a copy of the Notes.ini file from the DAMO data directory.
By default, on Windows XP, the DAMO data directory is located in
C:\Documents and Settings<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Lotus\DominoForOutlook
