I’m experiencing a very serious problem with my DAMO 6.5.4.
My outgoing emails are being severed when received by a recipient when sent in Rich Text format.
For example, I sent something like:

Joe,
Please check your email sysetem.Please check your email sysetem.Please check your email sysetem.Please check your email sysetem.
This is just a test.
Len"
What the recipient will see is just
Joe,
This is just a test.
Len
The middle of the email is completely severed.
I’m sending the emails in rich text format. I was about to deploy DAMO 6.5.4 to the firm, and I discovered this today, when emailing with my boss. This is a VERY serious BUG.
I can’t always replicate the issue, but I’ve duplicated the problem over 8 times.
Additionally, I viewed the emails in my Notes client Sent folder, and the emails are being severed when previewed in there as well.
This wasn’t a problem with DAMO 6.5.3 or the 6.5.4 Beta. I don’t understand what happened.
I’m on Outlook 2003 Professional (MS Office 2003 Pro)
Only other thing that I’ve done is installed the notes 6.5.4 client, but then I uninstalled it, and installed the 6.5.3 client. I can’t see that would make a difference, but thought to include the info.
This is very CRITICAL bug. Any ideas what is wrong

It is true that if you are having a problem and subscribe to support, then the problem should be reported officially where a Problem Maintenance Report (PMR) number gets assigned and if necessary, gets escalated to the developemt team.
In this case, there has been a known problem with text dissappearing from a message under circumstances that has, as of yesterday, been unreproducible. This was occassional and random. Because the problem is now reproducible, it will be corrected. This problem is being tracked under SPR # FSIZ6AKS7W. It has been assigned Priority 1.
Typically, when a fix has been addressed, through the Support system, you can get a hotfix when it is available. I would suggest that you open a PMR with Support, and provide the Support Engineer the SPR number.

Len, you need to report this directly to Lotus. This is a community forum and not officially monitored by Lotus or IBM. I’m not being catty, I just want to make sure you get your problem resolved as quickly as possible. This forum should not be used as a sole means of support for critical problems.

You need to use the Support channels to report a bug. (Use the link under Resources.) If you know someone at IBM who might be in a position to expedite matters (usually clear from the product Beta fora), you may want to contact them directly so they can create an SPR.
As Charles said, these fora (other than the beta feedback fora) are user-to-user. People may gripe about (alleged) bugs in here, they may offer work-arounds, but if this is the only place the bug “exists”, IBM will never know about it.
