Customising the Bookmarks Database

Can someone tell me if the bookmarks.nsf database holds any personalised user information? - I want to know beacuse I’ve customised a few items in the database to enhance the Quick Notes functionality - I’d like to make these changes available to all users by replacing their copies of bookmark.nsf with the one I’ve customised - I’m just concerned that there may be personalised data in the users copies of the database.

Any advice would be most welcome. Thanks

Errm… yes, it does hold “personalised user information”. It holds all the user’s bookmarks, believe it or not! If you’re talking about physically replacing the user’s bookmarks.nsf files, then you’re going to lose all that, and other stuff besides.

Why don’t you modify the bookmark.ntf, and then do a Design->Refresh of the users’ bookmark.nsf files instead? That will propogate your changes and preserve the users’ data. I think that in Notes 6, there are ways of adminstering such a change centrally, although I haven’t tested any of them yet.
