I am looking into the Custom Password Policy settings to see if we can duplicate our network password requirements. Users sometimes create a Notes password that is not strong enough for the network and vice versa. My main question is, what is the Maximum Number of Repeated Characters? Does this mean the maximum number of the same character? Or does this mean the maximum number of similar characters, like uppercase, lowercase, special chars, and numerics as a group? (Here’s hoping it is the latter.) If it is not as a group, then is there a way to accomplish this using the custom password policy?
