Custom button on a toolbar?

Hi All -

I’m new to LN development; actually, I’m not a technical person at all (!), I’m just trying to get something finished for another manager!

Here’s what we’d like to do. We’d like to create a custom button on the tool bar that would provide a user the ability to click a button that would:

  1. forward a selected message to one fixed user “User X” and then 2 variable addresses(user-input at each new message)

  2. put 2 push buttons in the body of the top of the message with assigned logic.

    a. one button would send a message with the existing subject + “IT Manager”.

    b. Other buttons are a version of this button.

Any ideas?

I can get a button to compose a new message, but so far have been unable to uncover a way to forward a selected message. As you can imagine, I can create a button with the logic to do above functions in a message, but not in a way that can be utilized multiple times. Am I trying to automate too much??
