Has anyone else out there experienced erratic cursor behaviour when writing notes documents (eg. a new mail message)? For example, I’m part way through composing an email and I know that my cursor is at the bottom of the line, half way through typing I look at the patch and voila, my cursor is at the top of the page and inserting my text into a line I don’t want it to. When I then move my mouse to try and gain control of the cursor, it starts highlight rows of text, and I have to “fight” with the mouse to let it go! Originally I thought it was just me hitting short cut keys somehow, but we’ve had another user complain of the same thing. She had to fight with her PC to manage to compose 3 lines. We use different versions (8.0.2 and 8.5). A restart of Notes will often control the behaviour temporarily, it can’t be reproduced, and is intermittent. Any ideas??
Subject: Re" Cursor Issues
Hi Jo,
That is rather peculiar. I often see mouse issues in Notes are due to the Driver/Software installed for the mouse. Users report the issue due to Notes, because that is what they are most often working on. I would verify whether it happens in any other applications - i.e.: When working in Microsoft Word or Notepad, etc. Additionally, I would suggest reinstalling your Mouse Driver.
