Any hints on performance tuning 6.5.2 on a Windows 2003 Server (Dual processors - 8 GB Ram - 700 GB storage array) and about 500 users. Server hass been terribly sluggish since installation. I have done the recommended microsoft performance tuning with minimal results.

The first thing to do would be to gather some metrics on the current performance.

To see if you can find some specific bottleneck (ie like the Disk Queue being larger than it should be).

To provide a baseline to measure actual performance gain when you do make a change.

The bottleneck is definitely pages/sec and Avg Disk Que length. Both stay at the top of the perfmon chart.

Hi, we experience the same problem.The server is not stable, users are loosing their connections, and restarting takes a long time.
Has anyone tried to install SP1 on Windows 2003, as IBM advises?

I have seen problems like yours solved by 6.5.3 FP1 (6.5.2 FP1 also available). You can reed about the issue in technote 1172867 (link below) at lotus support. Don’t forget to apply the notes.ini parameter mentioned.
