Crystal Reports Object Error

Hi, I am new to the Lotus / Crystal connection. I have loaded the crystal reports developer edition V10 on my machine and use Lotus Notes 6. Crystal Reports works fine although I would like to view the report from Lotus and have been following various white papers, but still having problems. I created a new form in lotus notes, went to insert a new object using “Create”, “Object” in the toolbar, Select the “Control” radio button - locate the “Cyrstal ActiveX Report Viewer Control 10.0” from the list, select OK and I receive an error message “Lotus Domino Designer” - “An error has occured while processing a request on an object”. I have registered various dll files and I don’t know how to fix this problem. Could anybody please help, thank you.

I also downloaded the samples for crazeV85, I get an error “Cannot create automation object” and with the RDC Examples database Samples, if I click any of these sample buttons I receive yet another error “Invalid Cross Certificate was found for subject /Seagatesoftware etc.”

It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could assist - its obvious that I have not done something correct when setting it up.

I find that when you are setting the viewer object you need to specify the version.

For Example:

Set m_Viewer = Source.GetObject(“Crystal Report Viewer Control 10”)

Hi, I am having the same problem, with R5 client and CR10 also. Did you solve the problem yet?

After long discussions with Business objects, the only solution that they can provide was to downgrade crystal V10 to V9. So we have. Would still prefer to use V10, so if anyone has a solution I would love to hear it. Business objects are not prepared to fix V10.
