Creazy question!

hi,

I would like to make a little things on my designer who could make me win time. I don’t think it’s possible but maybe…

The things is that when I create an agent I have some parameter to change ( make a lotusscript agent and give no target) and a lot of script who is always the same (an error manager that I put on all my angent)

I’ve juste think that at the place to have a blank agent when I click to create one, could we create a button or do something to have the agent with all the script that I always need. Like a copy of a template agent !

hope that someone have an idea.

Thank

Theoretically it’s possible to do using Action buttons which trigger another LotusScript agent which copies an existing “template” agent from repository db into your database.I haven’t try it but it should be possible. The problem can be that Action button can not determine which is the target database unless you set an environment variable.

Notes add-ons (C(C++) can probably also help solving this task, but I didn’t look into this.

One more idea: Action button which puts all the LS code into Clipboard and then you just paste the code from Clipboard into your new agent.

The easiest and solution of course would be: just copy the agent manually from agent repository database and paste it into your current database

either do Stan Rogers suggestion or put the code in a script library and call them as needed

Store your “boilerplate” as a series of *.lss files and import it as necessary (right-click in the Programmer’s Pane and select Import).
