Creating roaming users during registration

Registration fails registering to an 8.5 server. (File does not exist: servername notebook9.ntf). I see two possible workarounds. Create roaming user later or copy notebook8.ntf to notebook9.ntf.

Is there a way to specify the notebook template similar to the mail file template?

Subject: Roaming user registration

While registering Domino Roaming user using Admin client 9.0, it searches for notebook9.ntf to create a notebook roaming database on the server side. There is no option in UI to specify the notebook template. As Server 8.5.x is not having notebook9.ntf, this registration is failing.

Possible Work around :

  • Put notebook9.ntf into server’s directory (all users will get notebook.nsf created from new template if registered using 9.0 client)
  • Use 8.5.x client to administer 8.5.x server.
