I have a field, “Name” which is an Authors data type. I want to create a second field called “Authors” that is ALSO an Authors data type and has the values in field “Name” - setting the data type just doesn’t do it- the fomulaFIELD Authors := Name
Puts the values in the Author field- but when looked at via the document properties box, they are not truly author values.

Why do you need two authors fields with the same values? Am I missing something?

Its me being particular- the owner has decided he wants to lock out the authors from editing after a date- so I have to change the value of the “Name” field- which would screw up views- So, the author field would become who could edit it- (and change) the “name” field becomes a “names” field- and would stop controlling the “Author” - it is me being very particular about field names- I can do it script- or say screw it- and just do a field called DisplayName that runs the views.
