Creating new archive dbs with compact

I’m setting up archive policies on an AIX 4.3.3, Domino 6.0.1 cf1 server, and when the compact task runs, it attempts to create a new database in a new directory - which is good, but it trys to create it using the mailfile owner’s permissions, which do not allow creation of new dbs on the server…is this normal behaviour, or is there someway to prevent/change this? The policy states that local changes to the archive settings are not allowed…Thanks

oops…correction…I assigned the policy to the user, but hadn’t had the archive settings assigned to the policy…so the local settings were being used…Howard
