Hi I am creating a simple agent that creates a memo and just have a link to a page in the body, however I do not want to display the url of the link but just as any text i would like.
I’ve been searching through the forums and only found alot of complicated ways to do this, is there any simple way that will create a hyperlink.
my agent is set up like this
to:= “email here”;
body := “link here”;
@PostedCommand([MailComposeMemo]);
@PostedCommand([EditGotoField]; “EnterSendto”);
@PostedCommand([EditInsertText]; to);
@PostedCommand([EditGotoField]; “Body”);
@PostedCommand([EditInsertText]; body);
is there any way to just write the link or any necessary syntax near at body that will do this.
You can create such link programmatically in a background document using for example Midas LSX (Genii Software | MidasLSX) or by importing DXL. You must save the document in background before it can be shown in UI.
You do not have to save a document containing new rich text before it will display in the UI. You might have to call NotesRichTextItem.Update.
If you want to add URL links, you can do it without 3rd-party tools by creating the email in MIME. A sample database including a code generator – you put in a sample memo contents, and it generates the source code for you – is here.
