Our client wants to have a person other than the owner of an email file enable Out of Office agent. It appears one has to be owner of the mail file and have Editor access in order to enable the agent.
After doing research on the R6 forum on the issue one solutions was proposed:
- You can temporarily change the ownership of the mail file with Editor access and enable the agent but all Out of Office emails sent will have your email address as the sender instead of the email address of the actual owner.
I was womdering if I could create a custom agent that act as an Out of Office agent triggered whenever an email is received by the user. For exmaple, the R6 Out of Office agent will not send more than one email to a sender during the period when a user is out of office. Custom agent will have to take in account of that and all other issues related to a user being out of office. I am not sure how well this scheme will work. Please post the code or ideas you may have if this sounds viable.
