Creating a reader field

I want to create a new readers filed for the existing documents (not in form) in a database using an agent. The agent could be a Lotus script or Formula. Can any of you help me ?

check out the IsReaders property of notesItem class in designer help.You can use set the notesitem readers property to true.notesItem.IsReaders = True

I have created a reader filed using the below code,

authoritem = new NotesItem(doc,“DocReader”,READERS)

authoritem.isreader=true.

But the Field Flag is not set to SUMMARY READ/WRITE-ACCESS NAMES.

When you create an item using new it is set as a non summary item.

To change to summary use

authoritem.IsSummary = True
