createView & refresh

When I create a view using db.CreateView from an action/agent, I am forced to exit the database and get back in to see that new view in the list of views (View\Go to for example).

Is there a way to refresh the database somehow without forcing the user to exit completely?

Is there a way to refresh the list of design elements in a database using script?

Help would be appreciated as this is getting urgent.
