Hello Andre,

Thanks for the NSF… I’m facing few problems specially when I click on “Generate Code” and put it in the Install button . But still working on it , will post the errors if I get any.

Also , I wanted to create an Action Hostspot button on the users Toolbar and in the form we cannot put formula and create the button .

Thanks again.

Tom

No, you create the button first in your own toolbar, then use the action buttons in the form to capture and store it.

Hi Andre,

Thanks for the response. But I’m getting the error “String out of space” after executing steps as mentioned in the application .

What I’m doing is, create a new for , select the Button , Images etc , remove the Toolbar, run “Install Now” , generate the code for Install button . When I click on the button I get the error “String Out of Space” error and its stops.

Can you tell me where I might be wrong .

Also, is there are way we can insert an Action into the button.

Thanks

Tom

I think the problem is with the length of a string. Based on the published limits, up to 16,000 chars should be okay, but from my testing, it appears to not be so when in a button script. Don’t know why.

To fix, edit the agent GenInclude, function LSQuote, as follows:

Function LSQuote(Byval strSrc As String) As String

' Convert a string to a LotusScript literal representation of that string.

' E.g. change "Frog" to "{Frog}". If the string is too long, break it into multiple

' literals with & between.

Const MAXSTRING = 8000

If Len(strSrc) > MAXSTRING Then

	Dim pos As Long

	LSQuote = LSQuote(Left$(strSrc, MAXSTRING))

	For pos = MAXSTRING+1 To Len(strSrc) Step MAXSTRING

		LSQuote = LSQuote & { _

& } & LSQuote(Mid$(strSrc, pos, MAXSTRING))

	Next

Else

	LSQuote = "{" & Replace(strSrc, "}", "}}") & "}"

End If

End Function

The agent GenCode has a copy of the same function, which should also be updated.

Hi Andre,

That problem got sorted .

But one more error comes when I use .lss code for installation.

I get the following error when I click on the Install button :

"Cannot open “” on server “” – Install cannot proceed.//ToolbarInstaller Process:2 ".

Sorry to bother u so much, but I gues I’m almost there for this.

Thanks

Tom

If you search for this message in the code, you can see it appears below a case statement where we are interpreting a property of the class to decide which database they are trying to import some extra design elements into. Have you asked to import some extra design elements? What database did you select? What is the source code in the auto-generated DoInstall routine? Please give me some information.
