Create Documents with Form

Is there a way to restrict users from creating documents with some forms but not with others?

I have a form with Authors, Readers and Create Docs with Form set. The user I want to restrict is a member of a group that is AUTHOR, with Create Documents checked. I have removed this group from Authors, Readers and Create Docs with This Form (in form properties) yet the user can STILL create a document with the form. If I uncheck Create Documents in the groups ACL setting - the group can’t create ANY documents with other forms, even if they ARE in Authors etc. on that form.

So the Create Documents acl check is for EVERY form in the DB? What the heck is the Create Docs with This Form setting in form properties for then?

This seems pretty basic. I want the BASICUSERS group to be able to create documents using FORM-B but not with FORM-A.

And as an aside…

I notice when a group does not have CREATE DOCUMENTS checked, a user can compose the form and fill the fields - but the save fails with an error. Man that ticks off users.

Ahhh, Notes.

On the last tab of the form property in designer you should see “Who can create documents with this form”

Check it out - think this may be waht you’re looking for.

Thanks for your response, but I’m aware of that property (and that is a big part of my question.) Seems to have no effect that I can tell.

Sorry, I didn’t read your original post closely enough.

Two other things I’d check - the user’s Effective Access, in case they’re named in another group so you haven’t really removed their access.

And caching, if they used to be able to do this, maybe it’s cached on the client or server?

Again, sorry I leapt in with a suggestion you’d already tried and made clear that you’d tried.
