Create calendar from imported Excel file?

I am rather new to using Lotus, and I have been assigned a project for my workplace that I would like some help with. I have an Excel file listing events with start and end dates. I would like to be able to use this file to create a calendar in Lotus so that any given date viewed will display all on-going events. The calendar, when refreshed, should display a current version of the events in the excel file.

Can this be done, and how would I get started with it? Thank you for any help.

Best place to start is by looking into this document about designing Calendar Views:

Then, it’s just a matter of retrieving the data from the Excel sheet and creating documents with the values that will feed the view correctly.
