Create bookmark in users bookmark bar without user interaction

I now use:

@PostedCommand([AddDatabase];“” : “”;“1” )

But then the user gets a dialog box en needs to select “- Bookmark Bar -” and then click OK.

I also looked to a desktop settings document, we already use such a document. But in this case not all (1000) users need to get this bookmark, only a few.

In the future it also would be helpfull for our helpdesk if they can mail a button to a user if the user needs to create a bookmark.

What formula do I need to use so that the user only needs to click on the button in the email to add a bookmark?

Take a look at @Command([AddBookmark]) in designer help.

I’ve looked at that Command to, but I couldn’t succeed in creating a bookmark in the bookmark bar with it.I could create a Folder in the bookmark bar and put the database link in it, but I couldn’t get the bookmark directly in the bookmark bar without user interaction.

So if you have an example of the code you used, that might help.

Thanks.

good luck. Please post what you find.

I posted a complaint once on how easy it is to add an icon the the workspace, (which IBM has tried to replace with the bookmark.nsf), and how IBM has totally ignored on adding an icon to the bookmark bar, except for cheesy @ functions that don’t really cut the mustard. What good is if you are doing it in code, and the code prompts the user to add to the bookmark bar anyway?

Hello IBM, are you there???
