Crashing and inconsistencies

I have been running 8.5.1.FP1 Basic Mac client. It was stable and consistent.

I just installed the Standard client (with FP1 installed as well).

It seems that when I modify (or just access) preferences, the client is quite likely to crash.

Choosing recipients in mail gets me access to my personal contact list and sometimes gets me to our firm’s directory, but sometimes doesn’t.

The trash icon does not seem to work in mail. The delete key works.

I can’t figure out how to select more than one mail item to perform an operation on them.

Sometimes a mail folder indicates there are unread messages in the folder when there are not. Quitting and starting Notes corrects this issue.

Of course I would appreciate all of these items operating properly in the Mac client, but as I am testing this version for widespread use in our firm (which is otherwise PC), I am wondering if these issues arise with the Windows XP client as well.

Are these known issues for Macs and are they common across platforms?

Subject: Answers to your problems.

Hi,

Thank you for posting the issues. would you please kindly share more information with me for further investigation? Thank you.

  1. Could you please collect the crash log and NSD when you crash next time?

  2. Choosing recipients will get you to select from your contact list, it sounds like a right way, anything else you expected?

  3. The trash icon does not seem to work in mail. The delete key works.

  4. You can press “Shift” key to multi-select mails.

  5. Unread message - Does this happen to your Windows account? Or have you noticed that what action will invoke the issue?

Subject: Could you provide more information or scenario?

Hi,

I’m investigating your issue, but could not reproduce. Could you help to offer more detail information?

“The trash icon does not seem to work in mail. The delete key works.”

– For this issue, I tried on my mac OS, but it never occurred. what kind of email u were trying to put to trash? And what have you done before the trash icon didn’t work?

Hope we can find a effective scenario to reproduce it in lab environment.
