Notes user client hangs when clicking on a doclink inside a Notes document. The doclink points to another document which contains an attachment and which resides in the same Notes database. There is no way to recover other than rebooting. Only users (in any level of R6) experience the problem. R5 users can open the doclink and the attachment fine.
Note that both of these documents were originally created on the web and were replicated over from a domino server cluster outside the firewall.
After research, it turns out that if the web form used contains a subform, the Notes user hangs. If the subform is removed, the user can open the doclink and the attachment without any problem on both R6 and R5. So as a temporary fix, I have removed the subform but I need a better solution…
