We have a simple application with a form containing 3 category fields (DialogList), a body (RichText) field and an authors- and readers field (so nothing special)The application is used for our sales staff and mostly contains all kind of attachments that are frequently edited.
Notes continuously crashes after editing Excel attachments
tested with:
Lotus Notes client 8.0.1 and 8.0.2
Excel 2003, 2007
case:
open Notes document with Excel workbook attachment
right-click the Excel attachment choose Edit
save the Excel workbook
save and close the Notes document
CRASH
findings:
this happens 99% of the time when:

one or more worksheets have a filter active
-
one or more sheets have the option freeze panes active
I really could use a full prove solution as most workbooks contain several sheets with long lists
