Could not open the ID File

Hi all,I’ve installed Lotus Domino Server 6.5.3 on WinXP. Later I installed WebSphere Portal 5.1 on AIX 5.3, which is going to use Domino as LDAP Server. SSO configuration was OK, and everything worked great, until, somedays after… when restarting the Domino Server, I received the message: “Server exiting: Could not open the ID File”…

  1. What ID File??? Server? User? Cert?

  2. Why can’t it be opened?

  3. Where can I find more info about MY problem? A log file or something.

(I’m new to Domino so, some of my questions may sound easy)

I’ve checked notes.ini and two values are OK: a)KeyFilename=C:\Lotus\Domino\Data\server.id

b)ServerKeyFileName=server.id

The server id is really there! (If the message talks about the server id file).

  1. What’s my problem? Why can’t I START my server?

I really want it to work since all my Portal users are in LDAP Server… I mean, right now, I can’t connect to Portal…

I hope its something easy to solve…

Subject: Could not open the ID File

Can you open NLnotes? By default this uses server.id. Only other thing is maybe vscan or something that has the id file locked.
